Mission Teams
Mission Teams is a vital part of Rio Bravo Ministries. The Hansen's have been involved with hosting, leading and coordinating mission teams for 27 years, infact leading mission trips is what led the Hansen's to start Rio Bravo Ministries. Rio Bravo Ministries has been hosting mission teams from all across North America for over 15 years. From church and school youth teams and adult groups to families and retired people have all contributed to the building of Rio Bravo ministries. Most of the teams come during the spring and summer months. The week after Christmas is reserved for family week, many parents want a lasting memory of giving rather than receiving for their children. The fall is also a time when adult groups and retired people come for intensive work weeks to help in building the ministry.
Most of the teams come with the intention and motivation of helping the children and the home with the skills they possess. They return year after year because they learn the secret that giving of ourselves to others is not difficult, but is in fact, very fulfilling. When we give to others with no thought of getting something in return, it produces a contentment and joy in our spirits that money cannot buy.
